They did right with ending her relationship with Callie there, but she needed a good 5 episode arc of seeing how that case went down. I absolutely love Izzie, but that plot of reporting her to UNOS for the LVAD - they missed one hell of an opportunity and iconic plot there with ABC firing Brooke Smith so abruptly. Even telling a badass Bailey (when she used the biggest badass, not this childish Bailey) that she was acting like a teenage fool when her high school crush was there. Made sure she didn't involve her personal life in her job and it was SOOO refreshing to see that. Very by the book, loved following the rules, and loved her job and didn't care to be liked. I was super upset that that's how she left the show though. I think she was so important for Callie realizing her sexuality, but they ended their relationship at the right time. That was 100% such a well-written, beautifully acted scene. I don't understand how that Glasses/Leaves speech is made fun of now. I did not like her and Callie - they did not have much chemistry and weren't really compatible, but I thought she was a great asset to the show!
